+ WHY SHOULD I USE A TRAVEL ADVISOR INSTEAD OF BOOKING ONLINE OR DIRECT WITH A RESORT?

The better question is, why not? Once you book online, that's it! There's no personal customer service, and you have to spend hours researching activities and things to do at your destination. I focus on providing my customers with personal and attentive service. You provide me with your budget, travel inspiration, and preferences, and I'll do all the work for you creating a custom itinerary tailored to your unique tastes and interests. I take the stress out of planning and managing a vacation so you can focus on what matters most – enjoying yourself and making unforgettable memories.

+ CAN YOU WORK WITHIN ANY BUDGET?

Absolutely, I can work within just about any realistic budget. That said, my ability to plan an itinerary that best meets your needs relies heavily on an honest sharing of ideas and goals, which helps me immensely when making recommendations and suggesting edits to travel plans.

+ DO I REALLY NEED A PASSPORT WHEN CRUISING FROM THE U.S.?

I recommend that everyone taking a cruise from the United States carry a passport. Although some cruises may not require a U.S. passport, I recommend bringing yours in case of an emergency, such as an unexpected medical air evacuation or the ship docking at an alternate port.

+ DO I REALLY NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Yes, yes, yes! I always highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your travel investment. A lot of trips will require a non-refundable deposit paid months in advance. Travel insurance protects you from losing this investment. Time and time again, I see clients who have to cancel a trip for some unforeseen reason. If you do not purchase travel protection, and something were to go wrong before, during, or after travel, my ability to help you will be minimal. That’s why I always include the cost of travel insurance within your itinerary quote. Travel Insurance can be purchase at the time of your trip deposit to ensure your investment is covered. If you decline travel protection, you will be asked to sign a document stating that you refused the offered insurance.

+ WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

Travel By Pace accepts payment via most major credit cards including American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.

+ DO YOU CHARGE A PLANNING/SERVICE FEE?

Yes, I do charge a service fee. As a professional travel consultant, I use my personal experience, knowledge, expertise, and vendor relationships in planning custom vacations/celebrations for my clients. This includes research, recommendations, managing reservations, and payment plans.

+ WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A VACATION AND/OR CRUISE?

While it’s never too early (or too late) to book your next vacation, I always recommend that the best time to book is as early as possible. Room availability is typically better, and rates are typically lowest further out. Booking early helps ensure you get a better selection of room/resort/destinations that meets your travel preferences and budget.

+ HOW DO I APPLY FOR A PASSPORT?

For U.S. citizens, for the best resource for passport services, visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html.

If you have a local post office that offers passport service, you can also contact them and schedule an appointment for a passport application.

For Non-U.S. Citizens, you will need to check your passport application process requirements for your country of citizenship.

+ WHAT IF I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY ITINERARY OR CANCEL MY TRIP AFTER BOOKING?

If there are any elements of your itinerary that you want to see changed, that's absolutely fine, and I want you to tell me to be 100% honest! I offer 1-2 rounds of revisions depending on your package selection. In the end, I want you to be completely satisfied with your trip. I'll request your feedback throughout the planning process to capture your vision and create an itinerary that works for your specific needs before finalizing your itinerary. I understand that cancellations happen after booking, which is why we highly suggest that you purchase travel protection with your trip reservation. As soon as you know that you have to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible. I will submit your claim and provide you the information you need to return with your paperwork to the travel protection company. If you do not have travel protection, I will refer to the trip provider's cancelation policy and penalties at the time of cancellation.
